“When I stand before thee at the day’s end, thou shalt see my scars and know that I had my wounds and also my healing.” – Rabindranath Tagore Why Letting Go of The Past Is So Hard Once you begin to observe your mind and learn to become less identified with it, one of the main things that will startle you, is that you will become aware of all the unnecessary mental garbage we all carry inside us. This can be quite frightening. These are unconscious tendencies and thought patterns that until now where silently operating below your conscious awareness. They dictate your day to…

The positive reviews for Enochian Magic In Theory are already rolling in: “Students of the Western Esoteric Tradition are often presented with an “either/or” approach to Enochian Magic—they are told that they must choose between either the Dee Purist tradition or the Golden Dawn tradition because “one is right and the other is wrong.” In Enochian Magic in Theory author Dean F. Wilson takes a refreshingly ecumenical approach, presenting the Enochian system from various viewpoints and removing the unfortunate partisanship that has too often entered into the…

I am not the type to believe blindly in any form of idealism, which is why I find it fitting for me to be questioning these subjects.Humans have a long and agonizing history. The majority of people in this part of the world do not have to struggle on a daily basis. This atmosphere of perceived comfort creates a society stuck in a standstill, with very little possibility of an evolution in consciousness. 15 Jan 2012 | 1:45 am
Methinks the greatest fear we have is being ourselves. We want to be like everyone else, and we do what everyone else does -- even if it doesn't fit where and who you are.You get nowhere that way. Your energy is weak and nobody pays attention to you. Because you're running away from the one thing that you own = WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE.Lose that fear, and you will feel the power you have by showing the world you don't care for being like other people. Lose that fear, and you will never go back.

In nooks all over the earth sit men who are waiting, scarcely knowing in what they are waiting, much less that they are waiting in vain.Occasionally the call that awakens -- the accident which gives "permission" to act -- comes too late, when the best youth and strength for action has already been used up by sitting still; and many have found to their horror when they "leaped up" that their limbs had gone to sleep and their spirit had become too heavy."It is too late", they said to themselves, having lost faith in themselves and henceforth forever useless.-- Nietzsche

Even though they all seem different: starting a creative business, moving to a new country, starting a family, moving into your Dream Loft Condo, learning a new hobby… Actually there is only one Creative Dream: To be who you really are. You don’t want money for the sake of money or success for the sake of success. There is something much deeper than that driving your Creative Dreams. It’s your purpose.  Your authentic creative spirit. I use the word magic a lot but it’s not magic at all. The part of you that dreams the dream is the part of you that lives in a space of…

In Creative Dream Work we do meditation a little differently than other people do. Of course, stillness and presence and simply being and all of the other gifts of meditation are important and needed, but when you’re bringing a dream to life you need a little something extra.  A little something a little more sparkly and fun. It’s meditation infused with creativity and possibility and action.  Which makes the path to your dream truer, brighter, sparklier and more possible.  Creative meditation is the closest thing there is to real live magic. The meditations in the Creative…

(Bumpers means the kids couldn’t throw a gutterball, the ball would bounce off the bumper and stay on the lane to make it easier and more fun for the kids.) After the first game we were re-grouped and I ended up on a different lane. A lane that some of the kids had been playing on previously. A lane with bumpers. BINGO! That second game, my team won.  By a lot. I mean, of course we did! We had bumpers! When it’s impossible to throw a…

When I’m alone and I start to feel stressed, angry or upset about something, to improve my mood I often close my eyes and slow down my breathing. I don’t have time. If only I had more time. There aren’t enough hours in a day. Three common sayings about time that we’ve probably all said and heard many times before. If you’re one of the countless people who want more time, are you saying positive affirmations about time? Affirmations are positive sayings that help us get rid of negative beliefs and replace them with positive ones. They also reinforce positive beliefs that we already have. “As we think, so we become”, said Buddha. There is much truth in this. If we believe we don’t have enough time, then we won’t. Believe…

Author Joseph Murphy wrote in his best-selling book The Power of Your Subconscious Mind: “Success means successful living. A long period of peace, joy, and happiness… may be termed success. There is no true success without peace of mind.” I agree with him. Some believe financial wealth equals success. People can have plenty of money, but still be unhappy, worried and fearful, so how successful are they really? Financial wealth is just one aspect of success, and wealth isn’t necessarily essential to be successful. It is possible to have a modest amount of money, yet be happy,…

Hops has been used for centuries in different types of medicine, including North American traditional medicines and Indian-Ayurvedic medicine, according to the American Botanical Council (ABC) on HerbalGram. The English have also known about hops’ therapeutic benefits for some…

Think that being super rich will take away all your worries and fears? Think again. The results of a recent survey overturn the myth that great wealth automatically brings great happiness. Mega-millionaires are, in fact, a fearful and worried bunch, often caused by their own fortunes. The survey, funded by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, spoke to 160 households, of which 120 had at least $25 million in assets. The findings: despite great wealth, many seem miserable, says Lyneka Little from ABC News. What do rich people worry about? Plenty. “They worry about losing it [the money],…

I couldn’t help but get back to my favorite scary movie, the “Exorcist.” It’s not only a movie that defined my childhood, it was a work of art, a classic that revealed the basic protocol for dispelling negative energy from people who are possessed. First, you must pray, and then you throw around a little bit of holy water. Then you hold up a cross, look away, squeeze your eyes tight and hope for a miracle. I like to watch and write about fantasy and horror movies because it allows people to “ walk on the wild side.” It allows us to enter a gateway where the…

Voodoo, not to be confused with Vodun can be used in the practice of witchcraft. I like to think of Voodoo as malware that disrupts the natural flow of energy. Much like a virus, Voodoo spells operate to gather sensitive information and or to gain unauthorized access to your computer system (your mind). The virus’ ultimate goal is control and exploitation. I can’t understand why someone would want to intentionally corrupt files. However, people do it everyday in the spiritual world. They do it through the power of intention. Of course there are 101 thousand books on display about…

People think that a curse starts and ends with the mind. This is only partly true. A curse begins with the exchange of energy. It is best to think of a curse like an airborn virus, for it works to tear down your immune system and weaken your defenses. When a curse is not properly treated, it grows to infect all parts of the mind, body, and soul. The best way to combat a curse is through prayer and meditation.Curses can come from other people or they can come from other realms. In many cases, they come from people’s auric fields. Every living being on earth has an aura that vibrates at a…

I am a big fan of scary movies. In fact, one of my favorite movies growing up was The Exorcist. Now that I am a grown-up, I understand that the movie was incredibly sensationalized. However, as crazy as it sounds, I believe that the movie had an element of truth. There are people who get possessed by mysterious entities. Some people may call them demons; others may say they are evil spirits or negative energies. In Yoruba, these spirits are called the ajogan. Ajogan are demons that attack and take you away from your natural self. Although I have never heard of any cases where people’s…

Within the last two centuries, African based religions such as Candomblé, Vodun, and Yoruba have gotten a bad reputation, partly because of the practice of witchcraft. There are all kinds of wives tells about voodoo and brujeria. As a result, many people become “part-time” believers, flocking to African based religions only when other religions have failed them. This has resulted in people looking for a quick fix, or ways to assuage their immediate needs and desires. This way of thinking is not what Yoruba is about. Yoruba as a religion guides people back to their true…
